We want to thank everyone who stopped by our indoor/outdoor booth and checked out our technology. If you weren’t able to make it to the outdoor demo, don’t worry! Below is a video of the demo showcasing our technology navigating three real-world scenarios with our on-board machine vision system  using our unique traffic signs, called “Smart Signs,’ to generate vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) messages.

The demonstrations included:

Intersection Situation Data (ISD) Message:
A Smart Sign was placed (where?) before entering an unmarked   intersection. This message relayed to the vehicle the surveyed road geometry information, lane connections, and predefined traffic rules. It relayed information to the vehicle such as surveyed road geometry information ( road dimensions or parameters?), lane connections ( what do we mean here?  An intersection, or a multi-lane road?)

Traveler Information Message (TIM):
This was a work zone scenario. The Smart Sign relayed work zone information to the vehicle including detour lane geometry, work zone status, and the presence of workers. The vehicle continued navigation safely on the given detour lane.

MAP Message for Handicap Parking:
In this scenario, the vehicle entered the parking lot and guided the driver to the handicap parking location when the device recognized the Smart Sign placed at the parking lot entrance.
